New Consultant Checklist

To get your business off to a STRONG start, complete each of the following items. By following this plan, you will make your investment back in your first few parties and watch your business grow VERY quickly. 

 

FIRST WEEK

  • Log into the Consultant Online Office: coo.pureromance.com Your Consultant ID will be given to you when you start and your password will be the last 4 digits of your social security number.

  • Set up an email account to separate your Pure Romance emails from your personal emails.

    • After logging in to the COO website, go to the “My Information” tab, then the “Email Address” tab. This is where you will tell Pure Romance where you would like them to send your emails.

  • Write down your website address: this is usually PureRomance.com/YourName

  • Place an order for personalized business cards - use the Print Center under the Marketing tab. You should also look at the labels for products and catalogs. This is how you get your brnd out there! Click here to check out the Media Center.

  • Sign up for a credit card processor. Square is a great one to use. Check it out.

  • Download the Incentives & Requirements Guide PDF from COO here. Print it out and/or save it to your computer. Read through it twice and call your sponsor if you have any questions!

  • Visit the team Facebook group daily for updates and events. You can also see our upcoming events on our Team Calendar.

  • Schedule yourself to attend and observe one or two parties with other consultants. You can find shadowing options here.

  • Send out information about your brand new business! Send emails, make facebook events and pick up that phone! - personal invites always work best! Not sure who to start with? Try this!

    • Here's Sarah's go to speech:  "Hey Susie! This is Sarah Cook! I just recently became a women's sexual educator with Pure Romance, you know— the fun parties for women only, and I NEED YOUR HELP to help ME launch my business. I thought of you because you are so much fun and I’d love to have a party with you and your girlfriends - I need 6 parties total to be booked within the next 2 months - 3 small ones and 3 big ones.  Could you help me out with one of these? I’d love to get you a FREE shopping spree and a FUN girls night in!”

    • ** COPY AND PASTE THIS INTO MESSAGES, read it on the phone, etc – it works! **

  • Log Into COO and Attend Party School! DO NOT wait to finish party school to start booking parties! You can do party school while you are preparing for your parties :)

  • Download the COO App

    • Go to your app store and search for Consultant Online Office

    • The app should look something like this:

    • Download and Open!

    • Once you log in, you will be able to access your COO on your phone anytime, anywhere.

    • (Ask your sponsor if you can’t figure this out…this is a great way to view your COO on your phone!)

  • Book six shows in the first 60 days. You are encouraged to look at YOUR PERSONAL CALENDAR FIRST, SELECT THE DAYS THAT YOU ARE WILLING AND ABLE TO WORK! If you want to do 6 parties, you should select ~ 8 dates! This business works around you!

  • Schedule a launch party at your home! Over invite and tell all of your guests to bring a friend, or even five. Give them incentives for every friend they bring. There may be a lot of girls who cannot make your party, so ask them if they will have one for you. You can offer them an extra incentive to book, like a free coochy cream or another discounted or free item, but don’t give away too much! Ask your sponsor about what is a reason giveaway. Make sure you’re telling EVERYONE you know (100 people to help you get started) about the party!

  • Also, while you book parties, think… who else do you know that could start this business with you?? It's a great idea to bring a friend into the business—it’s more fun with friends! So think about who you know that needs extra $$, girl time, etc?!

    • When you bring 3 women into the business with you, Pure Romance will actually raise you to a 50% commission and a $100 bonus!!! This is a great way to work less and make more!!

  • Assemble hostess packets (info found on partyplanning.pureromance.com). You can also use this site to guide you through preparing for the party.

  • Familiarize yourself with Pure Romance products. You can use the catalog, website, videos, or product guide. When you receive your kit, check the invoice to make sure everything is there. Call your sponsor with any questions.

  • Practice setting up your product demo and sort and label all of your products. You can use return address labels to tag your demo items with the name and price if that helps you remember it. It's also a good idea to take a catalog and put post-it notes next to the products you are showing!

  • Create and Practice the opening and closing speeches you’ll use at parties.

  • Find out when the next meeting is, and plan on attending to help your business grow. The more you learn, the more you earn!

    • Our team meetings are held on the third Tuesday evening of each month.

SECOND WEEK

  • Open a separate bank account for your Pure Romance business.

  • What I’m going to tell you with taxes… save ALL receipts from anything you purchase for your business (supplies, party favors, shipping, etc.) and put it in a file! Also, have a notebook in your car to mark down the mileage anytime you drive to or from somewhere for PR (a meeting, party, product trade, etc.). You only need to write down the address you travel to. Mileage for taxes is calculated from your office (which may be your home) to the place you travel and back.

  • Continue building on your list of names of potential hostesses and book more shows. (Don't forget your “Who Do You Know” sheet. You can also give this out to your friends for even more networking opportunities.) Let everyone know about your new business – your hairdresser, your nail girl, the post office clerk, the bank teller, your neighbors, your PTA moms, past co-workers, present co-workers, your partner’s co-workers, relatives, waitresses, bartenders, receptionists, kids’ friends’ moms, etc.

  • Host your FANTASTIC launch party at your home!

  • Keep coaching your hostesses! Keep them excited about their upcoming show!

 

THIRD WEEK

  • Read your Incentive & Requirements Guide again thoroughly and ask questions if needed.

  • Keep practicing your demo with your new Pure Romance products! Write down descriptions on note cards to use at your first parties so you don’t forget anything! You can also take post it notes and write bullet points about products and place them next to the product in your catalog and you can flip thtough the catalog during your show.

  • Make up additional hostess packets to take to your first shows.

  • Keep up with PARTY SCHOOL!

 

FOURTH WEEK

  • Hold at least two shows this week.

    • ***PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FOR THESE SHOWS UNTIL YOU TALK WITH YOUR SPONSOR!***

  • Call your sponsor after each of your first shows, letting her know your total sales, sales per person, number of bookings you got on the calendar, and number of potential consultants you spoke with. Start to identify which areas you feel more or less comfortable with so you can address those right away!

  • Make it your goal to book at least 2-3 shows from each of your first shows. Your business will double in no time at all! Ask everyone in the shopping room when she's going to be the hostess of the season and earn her own fabulous shopping spree! Don't forget to play your booking games!   • Select at least one person as a potential new team member from each of your shows and talk to them about the opportunity. (Hint: Hostesses usually make the best new team members).

  • Ask everyone who enters the ordering room 2 things: When they’d like to schedule their own party/shopping spree – and if they would ever think about doing what you do.

  • Keep up with PARTY SCHOOL!

 

FIFTH WEEK

  • Hold 2 more shows this week. Be sure to coach your hostesses, book more parties at the parties, and talk about the opportunity of owning your own Pure Romance business at each show. Don’t forget to call your sponsor after each show.

  • Make it a point to hand out at least FIVE business cards a day. Leave it with a tip at a restaurant, put one with your bank deposit, mail it with your monthly bills! Spread the word that you are in business!

 

SIXTH WEEK: KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING!

  • Continue booking, hostess coaching, talking about the opportunity, having parties, and delivering items in a timely manner. Remember, you are a professional so present yourself as such. We offer tasteful parties and that is why they will come back for more. You can attain any goal you set in your Pure Romance career because you are getting yourself off to a good start right away.

  • This is your own business but you are never in it alone. Call your sponsor or a sister consultant if you need anything at all!
